We can support you to obtain short term accommodation, particularly where you need to flee to a place of safety. We can liaise with professionals and advocate for you. We are able to seek refuge for you, where applicable.
We can assist with housing applications, documentation and advocating for you to obtain more permanent accommodation.
In circumstances where you home may be unsafe but you wish to stay there, we are able to assist with safety proofing your home.
We are able to support you to find training, education, or employment to help you rebuild your life after abuse. We can provide support to update your CV and prepare you for interviews.
We are able to assist with applying for benefit, benefit checks to ensure you are claiming all you are eligible for, and advocating when things get difficult for you.
My Story is our 12-week programme, run online or face-to-face, designed to provide a safe and supportive space for survivors to understand the impact of domestic abuse, rebuild confidence, develop coping strategies and gain the knowledge and tools to be able to rebuild a safe, healthy life.
Our Empowerment Programme is a 6 week programme, run online or face-to-face, designed for survivors to recognise their strengths, rebuild confidence, and take positive steps towards greater independence, safety and wellbeing. We recommend that survivors complete My Story first.
This programme is designed for 9-13 year olds, delivered in school year groups. It is designed to help young people develop skills, knowledge and confidence to build healthy relationships, recognise unsafe behaviours and understand the importance of respect, consent and personal boundaries.
This programme is designed for 13-16 year olds, delivered in school year groups. It is designed to help young people develop a deeper understanding of healthy relationships, recognising unhealthy relationships, peer influences and controlling behaviours and emotional wellbeing.
Delivered in schools or colleges for 16-18 year olds, UP Thrive is designed to educate young adults on respectful relationship, coercion, exploitation and prepare them to make informed choices and access support as they enter adulthood.
We offer a range of services to assist, support and enable a survivor to flee abuse. Whether you are in need of housing support, safety planning, relocation support or simply getting advice, we are here for you.
We understand that reporting domestic abuse is a daunting and emotional time. We are able to provide advice, guidance and answer any questions you may have. If, and when you feel ready, we are able to contact police and other professionals on your behalf and support you through the process of reporting domestic abuse and/or sexual violence. This can be one-off support, or part of longer term support and we are ready to discuss your needs when you are.
We understand that the court process is a daunting and confusing time. We have advocates with first hand experience of the courts and legal knowledge, who can assist in explaining the process, preparing you for what to expect, and assisting you at hearings or legal meetings. We are here for you, whatever you may need. No question is ever a silly question.
